Vila dos Ventos is a place to slow down, feel at home and enjoy the Algarve at your own pace. A few thoughtful guidelines help us keep it that way – for you, for the guests who follow and for the beautiful surroundings we share.
Vila dos Ventos was built in 2008, when plots in Vilamoura were still generous and the old stone pines were allowed to stay. They shade the garden, scent the evening air and keep the world gently at a distance. Terrace and pool open onto the fairways of Pinhal, not overlooked by neighbours.
The house is made to be lived in. All we ask is that you treat it as you would the home of a good friend: relaxed, and with a little care.
Everything you need for an easy stay – and a few kind requests, so that everyone feels at home, including the next guests and our neighbours.
Check-in and check-out are agreed with you individually before your stay.
Whatever time you arrive, a member of the HoneyCakeHorse team welcomes you in person.
If your flight or arrival time changes, please let us know as early as possible.
Portuguese law requires us to register every guest. Please send us a copy of each guest’s passport or ID card before arrival.
Up to 10 guests stay overnight, as registered with us.
Visitors are welcome during the day, by prior arrangement with us.
Parties, events, retreats and any commercial use only by prior written agreement with HoneyCakeHorse.
Vila dos Ventos sits in a calm residential area, right on the Pinhal golf course. Please keep noise at a considerate level, especially in the evening and at night.
Quiet hours are from 23:00 to 8:00. Music outdoors until 23:00, then inside, please, with the windows closed.
Course maintenance can start early in the morning, and now and then a stray golf ball lands in the garden – please don’t throw it back, simply leave it aside.
Please note: the pool, the garden and the stairs to the lower floor are not child-proofed. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Use of the pool is at your own responsibility, in line with these house and safety rules.
Please shower before swimming – the outdoor shower is by the pool.
No glass in or around the pool; please use the outdoor tableware.
Pool towels are provided; please keep bathroom towels inside.
Please leave the pool equipment to our team.
Please don’t climb the old pines or hang anything from them.
Close the parasols when you leave and in windy weather.
Please treat the furniture and furnishings with care. The nautical pieces are original – admire them gently.
Please don’t move furniture between rooms or outside.
If something gets damaged or stops working, tell us straight away. Accidents happen, and we’d rather fix them quickly.
A few rooms and cupboards are reserved for the owners and our house team. Kindly leave them closed.
Please don’t adjust or repair the villa’s technical systems yourself – just contact us.
Keep windows and doors closed while heating or cooling, and switch off air conditioning and lights when you go out.
The steam sauna, gym, billiards and home cinema are yours to enjoy – please use them with care.
Steam sauna: sessions of 10–15 minutes, drink plenty of water, no alcohol. Not recommended for children, during pregnancy or with heart conditions without medical advice. Please switch it off after use.
Gym: use at your own risk; children only with an adult.
Billiards: please return cues and balls after playing, and keep red wine and food off the table.
If any equipment seems faulty, please stop using it and let HoneyCakeHorse know.
No smoking inside the house, including e-cigarettes.
Outside, please use the ashtrays and never throw cigarettes into the garden – fire risk under the pines.
No open fires in the garden. The pines and the dry summer make fire a real danger.
Candles indoors only after agreeing them with us.
Gas grill: please close the gas valve after use.
Pets are welcome on request. Please keep them off beds and sofas and out of the pool.
Fire blanket, fire extinguisher and first-aid kit are in the kitchen; a second extinguisher is on the lower floor. In an emergency, call 112.
Household waste is collected in one general waste bin inside the villa, which is emptied daily by our house team.
If you would like to separate your waste for recycling, you’ll find the public recycling bins near the roundabout at the entrance to the property.
Please treat towels, linen and equipment with care.
Cleaning and linen changes follow your booked stay. Extra cleaning or an extra change of linen can be arranged through HoneyCakeHorse.
Tap water is safe to drink.
Load and start the dishwasher.
Close the windows and terrace doors.
Switch off air conditioning, heating, lights and the sauna.
Log out of personal streaming accounts on the TVs.
Take a last look around for personal belongings – chargers love to hide.
Let us know about any damage or technical issues.
We meet you for check-out and say goodbye in person. No need to strip the beds or clean – our house team takes care of it.
Not sure how something works? Need a little help or have a special request? Just reach out. We’re here to make your stay feel effortless.
We are there daily from 8:00 to 21:00, and for emergencies 24/7.
